It has been a year since I introduced Francesca the Unicorn to the world. I had been working on her story for years and my intention was to publish a lot sooner, but life and fear got in the way. I have come to realize that fear (more than life) seems to prevent me from accomplishing my dreams. I have left so many dreams behind simply due to not believing in myself.

For a long time, I hesitated releasing my book because I was not sure if it was a story people wanted to hear. Eventually, I decided that if there was one person out there who identified with Francesca, then it was all worth it.

I've had some wonderful feedback about Francesca and what she means to so many people. People of all ages have contacted me praising Francesca, not only for the beautiful illustrations but for the impactful message of self-love and acceptance.

Self-love is something I work on daily, and believe me, it is not an easy task. I struggle everyday because I am Francesca, but like her, I now see my worth, and I am determined to never let anyone or anything take that from me.
